was born in 1949 in Béjaïa in Kabylia. She spent her childhood in Algeria and Egypt. She settled in the south of France in the early 70s. She recently returned to live in Paris.
Her work was quickly noticed which gave her the opportunity to exhibit in France and abroad (England, Germany, China, Japan, the Netherlands), the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris and participate in renowned biennials: Vallauris and Chateauroux.
In 1999 she moved to Grignan, she abandoned glazed earthware and stoneware utilitarian objects for high temperature and the search for new forms. That same year, she was invited to Japan by Haguiko and Jean-Pierre Viot. She then moved to porcelain, working the clay resisting matter to reveal more of the forms. Sometimes the form emerges from the base as the sculptor conjuring up a body with a mass of rough stone.
She recently left aside utilitarian ceramics for a new quest closer to sculpture and exploring the "male attributes" with an exhaustive collection of formal and suggestive states.
